One Day Photography Workshop This six hour workshop starts with the absolute basics then builds upon those basics to show you how to get the most from your DSLR. By the end of the workshop you should be feeling confident with your camera and be ready to take great shots.
Next dates Saturday 7th of August (1 Place Remaining) Saturday 14th of August Sunday 15th of August Workshop Details Morning Session Topics covered include how to control motion with shutter speeds, using apertures and Depth of Field to blur backgrounds (or to keep them sharp). Exposure compensation, Exposure bracketing. We take a half hour break. Consider bringing a packed lunch. Afternoon Session The afternoon session will expand on the mornings learning and explain the advantages of RAW files, how to optimise White Balance. Learn how to make better portraits and close-ups. We will do some "panning" and explore perspective. By the end of the workshop you should be feeling confident with you digital camera and be ready to tackle a wide range of subjects. Duration: 6 Hours total Meet at the Archibald Fountain in Hyde Park <Map> Parking: Domain Car Park has "Flat Rate" on Saturdays & Sundays (except special event days). What you will need to bring; Please wear comfortable shoes as we will be doing some walking and clothes that you can kneel down in. |

In the image above a very fast shutter speed (1/8000s) freezes water droplets in mid-air.
A much slower shutter speed (1/30s) in the shot below creates jets of water.
